FOIA online is a federal government multi-agency site that allows the public to submit Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests to participating agencies, track the progress of an agency’s response to a request, search for information previously made available, and report on the progress of FOIA requests. Not all agencies participate, but major agencies that participate include the Environmental Protection Agency, the Federal Labor Relations Authority, and the National Archives and Records Administration Office of General Counsel, with some divisions within these agencies opting out of participation. The site is simple to use and allows for creating an account to maintain lists of requests and correspondence with agency representatives. Proceed to the FOIA Online.
