The Law Library is pleased to welcome Mr. Matthew (Matt) Braun as the new Head of Electronic Resources and Computer Services. Matt has been a law librarian for 9 years, with 5 ½ years of experience at the Law Library of Congress, and 3 ½ years at the Jacob Burns Law Library at The George Washington University Law School. Matt held a variety of positions at the Law Library of Congress, but he was primarily a legal reference librarian. At GW, Matt was the intellectual property law librarian, where he managed the library’s extensive electronic and print holdings in copyright, patent, and trademark law, and where he regularly taught research sessions to JD and Master level law students. He also taught an advanced legal research seminar in The Catholic University Department of Library and Information Science for the past 2 years. Matt brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the Law Library, where he will be responsible for identifying and reviewing law and law-related electronic resources for possible purchase, as well as overseeing the computer services department that assists students with all of their computer needs, from accessing the internet to helping them with exam software, to helping them with scanning and printing. He will also perform reference service, so you’re likely to see him at the Reference Desk or in his office, Room 240C in the Law Library. Matt may be reached at 5-7736 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
