The Law Library’s collection is among the largest in the country, and it continues to grow. The shelving space in the Law Library, however, remains static. At present, the Law Library shelving is about 98% full. In order to relieve congestion in the stacks, offsite storage is a necessity.Last year, the University agreed to provide the Law Library with its own offsite storage space (the Law Library Annex) to assist the Law Library in managing the shelving of its collection. The Law Library Annex is located in a former warehouse near the Iowa City airport. LexisNexis is now using a single ID system to simplify student and faculty access to classic LexisNexis and Lexis Advance. Your Lexis Advance ID will be the only ID you need. Classic LexisNexis IDs were deactivated.Lexis Advance is now the starting platform for your research. You can still access classic LexisNexis from within Lexis Advance. Returning second and third year law students can register for a Bloomberg Law research account. If you don't already have a Bloomberg Law account, go to bloomberglaw.com/activate to register for access to Bloomberg Law. Follow the on-screen prompts to register.
