Biographical Information

Austin Scott held degrees from Rutgers College and Harvard Law School.  He joined the faculty of Harvard Law School in 1910, where he remained until his retirement in 1961.  While on leave from Harvard, he served as dean of University of Iowa College of Law from 1915 to 1916.   His work focused on trusts and estates, including the creation of the five-volume "Scott on Trusts" scholarship.  He died in 1981.
