Professor Randall received his B.A. degree from the University of Iowa in 1902, LL.B. from the University of Iowa in 1908, and S.J.D. from Harvard University in 1928. He was instructor in law at the University of Iowa from 1908 to 1909, associate professor of law from 1918 to 1920, and professor of law from 1920 to 1923. While teaching at the University of Iowa, he served as coach of the debating teams. During that period of three years, the University of Iowa won first place in the debating league composed of the Universities of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Nebraska and Iowa.
A commemoration of Professor Randall’s career was published at 36 Kentucky Law Journal 355,356 (1947-1948) at the time of his retirement.
