George A. Strait

Biographical Information

George Strait held degrees from Howard University and Suffolk University.  During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.  During his career as a law librarian, he held positions at Southern University (1950-1953), Worcester County Law Library (1953-1958), Harvard University (1958-1967 and 1969-1976), and Northeastern University (1967-1969).  He joined the University of Iowa College of Law in 1976, serving as a professor and library director until 1984.  He died in 1989.
