Biographical Information

Marshall D. Harris earned a B.S. from University of Kentucky in 1926 and a Ph.D. from University of Illinois in 1942. Dr. Harris, an economist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, coordinated research at the University of Iowa College of Law's Agriculture Law Center. The Agriculture Law Center's work focused on intergeneration transfer of farm ownership, organizational forms for farm businesses, natural resource law, and other agricultural topics. The Center closed in 1973 upon Dr. Harris's retirement.
