West Academic Study Aids Subscription Expansion

The Law Library recently expanded its West Academic Study Aids subscription, providing you with even more online study aid access. We now have access to over 600 titles through our subscription. The Law Library’s subscription includes the following series:

Create an account while on campus to access system features like the ability to bookmark pages, highlight passages, and add notes. These features are also now available on mobile devices by downloading the West Academic Library App from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Mar 29, 2018 seeks to address the issues of link and reference rot by archiving online content and providing you with a permalink to that content.

Anyone can create an account and archive up to ten links per month. The University of Iowa Law Library is a registrar, which provides additional opportunities for archiving to College of Law journals.

Mobile Access to Lexis Advance and Westlaw

You have two options for using Lexis Advance on your mobile device. Lexis Advance offers an app for Apple iPhones, iPads, and iPod touch. If you do not have an Apple device, or prefer not to use an app, Lexis Advance has a responsive website that will adjust to your device’s screen size. Westlaw also offers a mobile app for iPhones and iPads, as well as an app for Android devices. Like Lexis Advance, you may also access Westlaw through the web browser on your mobile device. For more information on Westlaw’s iPhone and iPad mobile app, visit this website.

Recent Additions to Global Arbitration Review

The following titles recently became available online through the Law Library’s Global Arbitration Review (GAR) subscription: The Guide to Regional Arbitration, The Guide to Construction Arbitration, and the Second Editions of The Guide to Advocacy and The Guide to Damages in International Arbitration.

GAR is a leading independent resource on international arbitration news and community intelligence. GAR includes news on legal and policy developments and changes to legislation, as well as surveys, league tables, and country profiles on arbitration.
