Research Support

Faculty Bibliography

The Law Library maintains a faculty bibliography of current College of Law faculty members' publications. If you have additions or corrections to your faculty bibliography entry, please contact Amy Koopmann at amy-koopmann@uiowa.edu.

Library Materials and Electronic Resources

The Law Library has an excellent collection of print and electronic resources on law and law-related topics. 

You can search our collection through the InfoHawk+ catalog.  To review which books you have checked out to your account, please login to your library account here. Please note that if you have had materials checked out by a proxy account (e.g., a research assistant), those materials will not appear on your individual account but you are still responsible for their return. Visit our Circulation & Borrowing page for more information on interlibrary loan, loan periods, and other circulation policies. 

Law faculty and staff receive individual logins and passwords to:

• Bloomberg Law
• Lexis
• Westlaw

If you are having trouble logging in to one of the services that you have not accessed recently, please first attempt to reset your password. If that does not work, contact Matthew Flyntz at matthew-flyntz@uiowa.edu. Law faculty and staff also have access to many additional electronic resources.

Faculty Research Assistants

The Law Library provides individual and group training for faculty members' research assistants. A general training occurs each fall. If you would like to schedule a specialized training, please contact Don Ford at donald-ford@uiowa.edu.

You can provide your research assistants with the ability to check out books on your behalf through a proxy account. To request proxy accounts for your research assistants, please complete this form. Please note that you are ultimately responsible for any books checked out by your proxy.
