Amy Koopmann

Biography

Amy is the Law Library's Assistant Director for Scholarly Communications & Innovation. 

Amy graduated with highest distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law. Following law school, Amy was an associate with the Menlo Park, California, office of Latham & Watkins, LLP, and worked for the U.S. Attorney’s Offices in the District of South Dakota and the Northern District of Iowa. She then received her M.A. in Library and Information Science from the University of Iowa. 

While in library school, Amy worked at the University of Iowa Law Library and in the Cedar Rapids branch of the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals Library. She also interned with the Research Department of the United States Supreme Court Library in Washington, D.C.

Amy is a member of the American Association of Law Libraries, the Mid-America Association of Law Libraries, and the Association for Information Science and Technology.
