Twila Smith

Biography

As Head of Electronic Services and Digital Initiatives, Twila is responsible for ensuring continuous access to library resources, collaborating on digital projects such as online exhibitions, overseeing the website and institutional repository, and assisting with outreach.

Prior to coming the University of Iowa, she was the Sr. Director of Digital Innovation and Development at the University of Oklahoma Libraries where she led the library's information technology teams, including data analytics and informatics support to faculty researchers. She has a passion for supporting teaching, learning, and research through digital librarianship.

Twila received her Master’s in Library and Information Science from the University of Oklahoma and her Masters in Liberal Studies with an emphasis on writing from the University of Denver. She is a member of the American Association of Law Libraries.
